Our MD Damien Sharkey meets Louise and Rachel on the virtual couch to share his career story, how he came to join HUB, and how this shapes the way he views his leadership role.

In this interview Damien describes his early career as an architect, and the leadership opportunities he experienced thanks to Robin Partington Architects, now known as Apt. Robin invited Damien to his board to represent the voice of the younger members of the team, which gave Damien his first taste of leadership at a comparatively young age.

Damien then decided to move into development and joined HUB as an Assistant Development Manager. Less than five years later, he had been offered the role of Managing Director. These opportunities have given Damien a distinctive leadership style: "I want to be one of the leaders that gives young people a voice and platform to have an opinion."
