NLA study tour of Queen's Quarter

We invited a group of NLA members on a study tour of our Croydon regeneration project Queen's Quarter, which was designed by AHMM with landscape architecture by Grant Associates.

There was a a great turnout on a sunny Spring morning - thanks to all who came, including friends from our funding partners Bridges Fund Management, and consultants on the project. Susi Le Good from AHMM joined us to present the thinking behind the masterplan and overall design.

Queen's Quarter is a town centre regeneration scheme which completed almost a year ago, delivering four new residential blocks in the heart of Croydon including over 50% affordable housing of which 90 are homes available at social rent, as well as a new public park. It's HUB's biggest scheme to-date and we're really proud of it!

It's great to see how it has integrated into the Croydon landscape, providing safe pedestrian and cycle routes connecting public transport hubs, and an oasis of biodiversity surrounded by those busy Croydon roads.

Today. we met in the largest block, The Fold Croydon, a tower with 251 BTR homes and several shared spaces. It's fully occupied, all the shared amenity is well-used, and those views from the sky garden are breath-taking!

The Queen's Gardens, which was co-designed with members of the local community, looked particularly lovely in this morning's sun.
