Plans for our timber office building in Maidenhead submitted

We’re excited to have submitted plans for a new timber office building at the heart of our major town centre regeneration project, One Maidenhead.
The office scheme is called Trehus - Norwegian for 'house of wood'. Working with our funding partner Smedvig and architect Waugh Thistleton Architects, our proposed scheme will set a new standard for high-quality sustainable workspace in Maidenhead and the wider Thames Valley.
Development director Victoria Manston said: "The use of timber will result in a building that is both elegant and highly sustainable, in line with HUB's strategy of reducing embodied carbon across our portfolio".
Using a timber frame should result in a 40% reduction in embodied carbon, and Trehus will feature a roof terrace, outdoor seating and rain gardens which are designed to absorb water which runs off patios and roofs.
Meanwhile the first phase of One Maidenhead is set to complete in just a few months' time, with 429 Get Living BTR homes, retail and a new public square.
