Boiler House

Once the site of a steam heating plant, this part of The Boiler House’s history lives on in Studio Egret West’s design with its nod to the tapering shape of factory chimneys. This modern development is engineered to be low-carbon, first during its construction, and now as 54 ‘green’ homes.

Impact

As one of the largest regeneration projects in West London, the Old Vinyl Factory is significant. The Boiler House puts sustainable and environmental practice at its heart, and residents get to enjoy generous balconies, and communal roof gardens with allotments.

Project highlight

The entire frame of the building is made from cross-laminated, sustainably-sourced timber.
